A Legendary Evening

Niles Education Foundation would like to thank the sponsors and attendees of the annual fundraising event “A Legendary Evening” honoring Karl Sharkey.

This fun-filled evening raised over $10,000 for students in the Niles Community Schools.

Our Purpose

The Niles Education Foundation has been created to complement and enhance the educational opportunities of students attending the Niles Community School District.

By attracting private donations, the Foundation can provide support for the development of enrichment programs and services not already provided for by the schools.

Planned Projects

In distributing resources, the Foundation will consider all students, all curricular areas, and all staff members. Areas that will be considered as initial Foundation projects include:

  • Innovation Grants for Teachers
  • Leadership Projects
  • Creativity
  • Top Students
  • General Enrichment

Goals

The foundation will achieve its mission by directing support toward the following goals:

  • Enhance students development through additional educational opportunities.
  • Encourage excellence through creative teaching.
  • Provide an organization to facilitate cooperative ventures with community organizations, businesses, and industry.
  • Partner with other entities in expanding and enhancing learning opportunities for students and community.
  • Promote understanding and cooperation throughout Niles Community Schools.

NEF is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. Your donations to NEF are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
