Our Purpose

The Niles Education Foundation has been created to complement and enhance the educational opportunities of students attending the Niles Community School District.

By attracting private donations, the Foundation can provide support for the development of enrichment programs and services not already provided for by the schools.

What is a Project?

Thank you for your interest in the Niles Education Foundation (NEF) project program. The program is open to all certified Niles Community Schools staff members.

Project funds from the NEF will be required to submit an application form. This form will provide committee members and the NEF board with the information needed to make a judgment regarding the funding of your project. Please be as specific as possible when completing the application.

A project can be more than $1,000 and it may be a one-time gift or take up to three years to complete. If you are applying for a project, please write the anticipated cost for each phase (maximum of 3) in the “Budget” section of the application.
